520 0# - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Annelids are abundant in marine and freshwater ecosystems and in moist terrestrial habitats. These segmented worms make interesting subjects for classroom study of invertebrate structure and evolution. Exellent study specimens include the relatively transparent obligochates from freshwater ponds and young earth worms gently presses between glass slide. As seen in this program, such studies reveal details of anatomy and physiology, providing an altenative to dissecting preserved earthworms.
